Shri. Kunnakudi M.Balamurali Krishna, a graded artiste of vocal music and mridangam of All India Radio, Chennai, is the recipient of many awards including the Bharat Ratna Dr. M.S. Subbulakshmi Fellowship Award from Sri Shanmukhananda Sabha, Mumbai, and was bestowed the title of Asthana Vidwan from the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham. Shri. Kunnakudi M. Balamurali Krishna is awarded Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Akademi for the year 2015 for his notable talent in the field of Carnatic Vocal Music.
